We are proud to announce that Chute Gerdeman’s Brand Communications Designer, Annie Foertmeyer, has been chosen by VMSD to be part of the magazine’s tenth annual Designer Dozen awards. Each member of this group has the talent, drive, and innovation necessary to move this industry forward. The twelve up-and-coming designers recognized this year come from leading design firms and brands across the country, including Chute Gerdeman, Bloomingdale’s, Taco Bell, and more.

As a Brand Communications Designer, Annie plays a pivotal role in helping to develop comprehensive brand communications programs for retailers, restaurants, and consumer goods companies. Annie’s consumer-centric approach and creative design skills have allowed her to bring fresh, new ideas to clients, including Food Lion, Mattress Firm, European Wax, and HMSHost.
Annie has a great understanding of how to create effective messaging that benefits both the customer needs and client objectives. Her intimate knowledge of our client’s brands has enabled her to ensure each piece of communication aligns with the brand from the look and feel to hierarchy and execution; this includes both graphic and copywriting direction.
In addition to helping lead the design for new prototype décor packages, Annie ensures new designs can be easily executed within remodel locations. She is heavily involved on the graphic implementation side, working closely with outside vendors to ensure the creative vision is successfully executed. This includes reviewing documentation, creating full-size mockups, and working on final art for production.
