When Chute Gerdeman initially began working with Food Lion, the goal was to update graphics, create more functional signage, and elevate the day-to-day shopping experience for shoppers through efficient, practical, and implantable design enhancements.
Redefining the Promise
Our team of strategists, designers, and implementation experts activated the Food Lion brand by aligning its core values and positioning (Easy, Fresh, and Affordable) with its in-store shopping experience. We studied, understood, and harnessed cultural intricacies and delivered a solution that appealed to regional preferences.
The Mane Attraction
What began as a brand graphics update, soon became one of the biggest store overhauls Chute Gerdeman had the opportunity to create. The design team created HBC department areas, built an entirely new wayfinding system, and enhanced the shopper journey in a new prototype store. This helped revolutionize the overall Food Lion experience for both the shoppers and store associates.
