Whole Foods focuses on local customization; creating store experiences that call on the surrounding area.
When the nation’s trailblazer in healthy grocery called us, we answered with a passionate “Hello!” The leader in all things wellness understood the importance of creating experiences for shoppers that were unique to the neighborhood. Each Whole Foods location had to be special. Our team of strategists, designers, and merchandisers worked together to dial into the specific culture of each spot.



SMART LOCAL CUSTOMIZATION
After designing a Community Mark for each Whole Foods Market location, we determine the best combination of store services, then design the space to honor the customers’ demands. Some locations have bars, walk-up coffee windows, or accessible convenience items, but every location is created using our Core + Canvas method.
Whole Foods Market also challenged the Chute Gerdeman team to transform the typical health and beauty aisle into a destination department that customers love. This design elevated the Whole Body brand while allowing store associates to interact with shoppers—a key WFM brand tenant.
