Chute Gerdeman’s Design Director, Nicole Faccinto, has been chosen by design:retail to be part of the magazine’s third annual 40 Under 40, recognizing top professionals in the retail design industry.
As a Design Director of Visual Strategy, Nicole is responsible for the creative visual merchandising and storytelling for many of Chute Gerdeman’s key client engagements. She interfaces with all design disciplines and brings meaningful product and brand stories to life via traditional merchandising techniques, such as mannequin, fixturing, and props, as well as non-traditional methods.
Whether she’s ideating the next big thing or re-merchandising an existing store to new perfection, Nicole thinks in three dimensions, and brings practical knowledge of how stores operate in her design thinking. She believes beautifully merchandised creative design is a necessity for every retail environment, and helps facilitate ideas through her detailed understanding of in-store installation and on-the-ground know-how. Able to visualize merchandising concepts in a meaningful way, her illustration and technical skills are powerful tools in her arsenal that bring her retail concepts to life.
Nicole has developed creative merchandising solutions for a variety of CG clients over her many years on our team including Aaron Brothers, American Family Insurance, M&M’S World, Verizon Wireless, Kohl’s, Hanesbrands, Nike, and Cooper’s Hawk, among others, proving herself indispensable at all phases of the project.
This is the third time a Chute Gerdeman associate has been included in this distinguished list, as Nicole joins previous honorees and Creative Directors, Elaine Evans, and Matt Jeffries. This year’s 40 Under 40 will be recognized at design:retail’s Honors and Awards Reception in New York on May 22nd alongside the visionary Markopoulos award recipient. Congratulations to Nicole and the 40 Under 40 Class of 2017.
