Several Chute Gerdeman concepts have recently been features in the news. Read more about Christopher & Banks, Swiss Farms, CKA3KA, and West Marine.
Christopher & Banks worked with Columbus, Ohio-based Chute Gerdeman Retail to design a side-by-side prototype with a pass through joining the two stores: Christopher & Banks and its plus-size offshoot C.J. Banks.
Swiss Farms, America’s drive-through grocer, will unveil its new prototype store designed by retail design and branding firm, Chute Gerdeman Retail. The new store, in Ridley Township, Pa., features a new brand identity, an eye-catching barn motif and 21st century touches, including LED displays that tie merchandise offerings to the weather forecast.
Columbus, Ohio-based Chute Gerdeman Retail has designed a flagship toy store that will open next month near Moscow’s historic Red Square. The new 12,000-sq. ft. CKA3KA store is owned and operated by F.D. Lab, one of Russia’s largest consumer goods companies.
“West Marine wanted to create a store that would express their brand in a more memorable way and also appeal to a broader audience. They wanted to be much more experiential, with a lot more theater,” said Joanna Felder, director, creative strategy, Chute Gerdeman Retail, Columbus, Ohio.

CKA3KA (pronounced “Skazka”), an interactive flagship toy store designed by Chute Gerdeman Retail, opened November 14th near Moscow’s historic Red Square. CKA3KA melds traditional Russian style with the most modern retail concepts. The environment combines an underlying motif of Russian fairytales with elements of modern fun that children worldwide will appreciate. [More]
