Katie’s Top 5

As Chute Gerdeman Retail’s Material and Trend Specialist, Katie Clements is involved in all retail projects providing design support as a materials and color expert. She utilizes her vast knowledge and extensive library to present clients with well-considered selections for fabric, carpet, tile, wallcovering, lighting, furniture, and any other special project features.

In this issue, Katie recommends several lighting options—from funky to modular to energy efficient.

The Coco from Modiss

Stylize any fitting room or retail space with a funky light sconce. The Coco from Modiss is available in four colors with a chrome finish.

LED Bulb by Tech Lighting

Tech Lighting has recently developed a proprietary LED bulb that is now available in a majority of Tech’s standard pendant fixtures or track heads. Not only does LED lighting use 83% of the energy consumed by a MR16 or Halogen bulb, but it’s dimmable and easy to change in the field. Brilliant!

The Gyro Dual-Axis by Lucifer Lighting

With lighting, sometimes less is more. Lucifer Lighting has beautiful and simple downlights that do not distract from the environment. The Gyro Dual-Axis is a sleek fixture that is adjustable for maximum impact. It is also extremely small, with only a 4” diameter.

Add drama and repetition to a wall or ceiling with recessed modular lamps from OTY Light. The Sky Line is available in various lengths and can be placed in plasterboard or concrete. These lights can be installed horizontally or vertically, or even at an angle!

The Octonom by Wever and Ducre

This is not your grandmother’s chandelier! The Octonom by Wever and Ducre is a mix of old and new in one light fixture. The silhouette is traditional but the dye cut flat arms gives this chandelier an updated look. It’s available in translucent black or mirror chrome.
