Chute Gerdeman welcomes its newest team member, Rob Turner, as Senior Designer on the Retail Enviroments team.

Senior Designer, Retail Environments

As Senior Designer of Retail Environments, Rob is responsible for designing retail experiences and bringing them to life via illustration and 3D animation. Through techniques including photo-real computer renderings and animations, mixed media illustrations, anime/cartoon style animation, and Photoshop renderings, Rob brings a real-time, customer-focused viewpoint to the physical environments designed by Chute Gerdeman.

Rob is passionate, self-motivated, and extremely versatile. He has developed many new illustration techniques to meet diverse client needs and has over 10 years of experience using cutting-edge technology to deliver visualization of his design solutions. His keen photographer’s eye and natural ability with three dimensions gives him a sharp sense of perspective when creating digital representations of physical spaces.

Before joining Chute Gerdeman Retail, Rob had the unique opportunity to work as an architectural project lead, environments designer, illustrator, photographer, and the owner of his own business, Architectural Perspective. His client list includes: A&W, Arby’s, Benihana, Carvel, Gilly Hicks, HMS Host, Hollister, Logan’s Roadhouse, Longaberger, Sofa Express, Tim Hortons, and Wendy’s.

Rob’s work has appeared on the cover of VMSD, and he has worked on many award-winning projects including Safeway Citrine and Benihana. Rob graduated Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

Denny Gerdeman, has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts degree by Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD).
