When designing two new retail homes for M&MS® Brand candies in Orlando, FL, and in Times Square, New York, Chute Gerdeman Retail needed to create destination retail experiences with universal appeal that would reflect the colorful, iconic fun of the worlds largest confectionery brand. At the same time, each store had to translate the brand based on the local market sensibilities, including light, scale, traffic and culture. In a world where the bar is continually raised when it comes to generating energy and excitement surrounding brand identity, the M&MS World® story is a fascinating look at how an iconic candy came to life in two very different cities.
