M&M‘S World® New York was chosen as Event Design magazine‘s Gold Award Winner for Best Retail Environment. In its second year, the Event Design awards showcase the most ground-breaking concepts in every type of live space, from trade show exhibits to museums, retail environments and beyond. The Event Design Awards recognize only the best of the best in the rapidly-growing industry of “experience design.” In announcing the award, the magazine‘s editors cited Chute Gerdeman for bringing the M&M‘S® brand to life in style. The Chute Gerdeman-designed Thorntons Quick Café & Market also took home an award this month. Convenience Store News named it Best Low-Cost Remodel in its second annual Store Design Contest. In its announcement, the magazine noted that Chute Gerdeman added color and large graphics to create a fun, fresh market feeling inside the store, while the building exterior was enhanced with updated lighting and awnings.
