Delivering a new packaged design

What if we elevated an every day experience to give consumers a new outlook on shipment? What if a unique design illuminated a more tailored, honest experience?

Priority Questioning

Initially, Chute Gerdeman and The UPS Store created a research plan to derive data from the most important viewpoint–the customer and franchisee. Face-to-face interviews, online surveys, and a vast competitive audit across the country of current UPS stores helped translate the current issues; the insights gathered became the bedrock to the strategic process behind the overall design.

Transparency Is Key

The UPS Store consumers desire transparency. Plain and simple. Throughout our industry audit we made light of the roadblock designed between the consumer and the package they handed over to the associate. There was no way to see the care that went on behind the scenes, so Chute Gerdeman designed an entirely new layout to create a more open, honest, and trusted process.

You’ve Got Mail

Because this is a 24-hour facility, The UPS Store and Chute Gerdeman integrated lockers into the overall design. We felt it gave a competitive edge to the already popular services our client offered. Too late to interact with an associate? No problem! These lockers sit just outside the closing gate so customers can pick up whenever they choose.

Design that connects people to the world’s greatest brands.
