The strategy behind the new prototype is based simply on helping franchisee entrepreneurs open their businesses faster and easier, while offering customers more of the signature Checkers experience they love.
Efficiency—both operationally and for drive-thru customers—played a large role in the decision to reduce the double drive-thru to a single lane. A family-friendly dining area sits under the new wing-style roofline.
The order window is more prominently featured, keeping the walk up customer in mind. Menu boards are positioned inside the window to help reduce visual clutter on the exterior.
The restaurant is easily recognized as it retains iconic elements such as the stainless steel banding, eye-catching signage, checkerboard accents, red umbrellas and a bold black, white and red color scheme.
The 12th largest burger chain in the U.S., Checkers/Rally’s has seen sales increases of 17-35% with the new design.
