Legion of Honor, CG takes center stage in New York | Chute Gerdeman - award-winning retail design and branding.

It’s been a great to start for Chute Gerdeman in the 2011 retail design awards season. At last night’s Retail Design Institute’s International Store Design Awards in NYC, we took home two store design awards, and our founders, Denny and Elle were inducted into the Retail Design Legion of Honor.

The Legion of Honor recognizes the couple for their lifetime contributions that have influenced and shaped retailing, store design, and the design culture, both here and abroad. As individuals, Denny and Elle have proven themselves to be industry leaders—exceptional, innovative, and influential—over the span of their careers.

Denny was very proud and honored to be recognized for his and Elle’s contributions to the industry and thanked the entire CG team for being a major part of the success we’ve achieved. He went on to accept the award with deep thanks to the CG team, for their talents, hard work, and dedication.

Elle added, “I am excited about the future of the Retail Design Institute. It has evolved to include more creative disciplines such as branding experts, graphic designers, creative writers, digital developers, sound specialists, and social media consultants. The dialogue between all of these disciplines ensures that the future of store design will be excitingly unexpected.

Chute Gerdeman also took high honors in RDI’s International Store Design Awards, winning for the Exchange rebranding and redesign and for The Flagship Store Powered by Reebok.

We learned long ago that successful projects are the result of successful client relationships and our relationships with the teams at both Exchange and at Delaware North are very important to us. So, congrats to the teams at the Exchange and at Delaware North!
